Our Daily Rhythm
08:00 – 09:00 | Arrival at school
09:00 – 09:30 | A nutritious and wholesome breakfast to begin the day with energy
09:30 – 14:30 | Creative activities, exploration, and play throughout the day, with a mid-morning snack and lunch included
14:30 – 16:00 | Gradual departure and organised playdates, giving children the opportunity to connect and build new friendships
The rhythm of the day has been thoughtfully designed to offer a balance between free play, guided experiences, rest, and the joy of being together.
Spaces & Environment
All activities take place in air-conditioned indoor spaces, offering children comfort and protection during the warmer hours of the day. When the sun is softer, we make the most of our outdoor school spaces, where children enjoy water play, sand, soil, and open-ended experiences that create joyful summer memories filled with freedom and discovery.
Language Approach
The Little Explorers program is based on the English language, offering children a natural and enjoyable opportunity to strengthen their English through songs, daily routines, instructions, and everyday communication.
For children with little or no previous exposure to English, a Greek-speaking teacher is always present to offer support and guidance, ensuring that every child feels comfortable, secure, and able to participate fully.
Activities & Weekly Themes
Each week at Little Explorers has its own unique theme, giving children the opportunity to enjoy new experiences, stay active, and discover the world around them in many different ways.
Week 1 | Under the Sun
Summer in the City – Sun, Sea & Sand
The first week immediately brings us into a joyful summer atmosphere. Children explore the sights, textures, and feelings of summer through sensory play with sand and water, summer-themed crafts, songs, stories, and refreshing tasting experiences.
The week includes activities such as water play, sea-themed messy play, summer crafts, fruit tasting, and of course a lovely beach excursion to Epanomi.
Week 2 | Creative Me!
Expressing ourselves through art, music and movement
The second week is dedicated to expression. Through open-ended art experiences, music games, dance, drama, and small performances, children are encouraged to express themselves freely and build confidence.
Inspired by stories such as The Dot, we encourage each child to create in their own unique way.
Week 3 | Nature Detectives
Outdoor Discovery & Science
In the third week, children become little explorers of nature. They observe insects, plant and garden, play with natural materials, take part in scavenger hunts, try simple science experiments, and discover the world beyond the classroom with curiosity and excitement. The week culminates in an excursion to the Environmental Park of Thermi.
Week 4 | Little Inventors
Building, creating and creative thinking
The final week is full of building, experimenting, ideas, and collaboration. Children explore open-ended materials, build towers and bridges, create vehicles, make robots from recycled materials, and take part in simple STEAM challenges in a playful and joyful way. The week concludes with a STEAM Lab excursion.
