Compass Kids: The 360° Expedition

When the City Becomes a Landscape of Discovery

A thoughtfully designed summer of exploration, creativity, and meaningful experiences for children aged 6–12

The summer program at Fox in the Pine has been designed as a rich and engaging experience of exploration and creation.

Children move through the city as young discoverers — observing, mapping, building, collaborating, and creating through projects inspired by curiosity, imagination, and a sense of wonder.

Each week has its own atmosphere and rhythm, bringing together urban exploration, creative making, collaborative challenges, and moments of calm, connection, and reflection.

Urban Exploration

The city becomes a source of inspiration and discovery.

Through hands-on missions and thoughtfully designed experiences, children explore markets, the port, and historic neighbourhoods in ways that feel vivid, engaging, and meaningful.

Creative Projects

Constructions, design challenges, collaborative projects, and artistic responses invite children to express themselves, test ideas, and create together with confidence and imagination.

A Meaningful Summer Rhythm

A balanced daily rhythm combines activity, play, social connection, and moments of rest, allowing summer to feel both joyful and deeply enriching.

Weekly Themes

Weeks 1 & 2

The Silk Road – The Levant and the Bazaar

The first two weeks are inspired by the world of markets, spices, routes, and cultural exchange.
Children discover Thessaloniki through sensory experiences, creative projects, play, and excursions full of atmosphere and imagination.

Week 3

Islands & Oceans – The Secret Shipyard

The third week turns toward the sea and the port.
Through group challenges, constructions, outdoor activities, and themed excursions, children explore a world full of movement, journeys, and seaside inspiration.

Week 4

The Urban Jungle – The Upper City Hideaway

The final week is inspired by the Upper City and the quieter, greener, more atmospheric side of Thessaloniki.
Children observe, move, create, and discover the city through an experience that feels calmer, yet equally captivating.
